Woodpecker is the manufacturer, offering four brands: Woodpecker®, DTE®, DBA®, and RTA®.
Please note that different brand tips are not interchangeable:
- Woodpecker tips are compatible with Woodpecker, EMS, and Mectron scalers only.
- DTE tips are compatible with DTE, NSK, and Satelec scalers only.
Woodpecker and DTE tips are not compatible with each other.
To distinguish between them:
- Models without "D" (e.g., P1) are for Woodpecker, EMS, and Mectron scalers.
- Models with "D" (e.g., PD1) are for DTE, NSK, and Satelec scalers.

ED17 Function: Used for root canal detection, pulp chamber cleaning, and orifice opening.
Features: The tip has 15 micro-washers, and it is of good cutting performance. Back and forth motion of tip brings more efficient operation. In the case of waterless operation, select the mode of "Work for 5-10 seconds and then stop fpr 2 seconds", and open water every 60 seconds for cooling and rinsing.
Note: Due to strong cutting performace of the tip, in order to prevent the penetration of the medullary cavity, it is recommended to use with a root canal microscope.
